We at Kattalo are proud to announce our first municipal license agreement in Finland with the municipality of Vörå. This license will provide 405 children in preschool and primary education access to Kattalo's innovative solutions for reading and writing development.
"This agreement marks a significant milestone in our expansion and our commitment to supporting children's language development across national borders. Together with Vörå, we can now contribute to strengthening the literacy skills of Swedish-speaking students in Finland," says Pether Wiklander, CEO of Kattalo.
The collaboration was initiated during the SETT fair in Stockholm in spring 2024, where representatives from Vörå municipality discovered Kattalo's platform.
"We had long been searching for an effective digital and pedagogical platform to enhance our students' reading development in the lower grades. We found what we were looking for at the SETT fair in Stockholm in spring 2024, and we're now excited to begin our partnership with Kattalo," says Jari Niemelä, IT pedagogue in Vörå municipality.
Vörå municipality, a leader in digital tools among Swedish-speaking areas in Finland, views the implementation of Kattalo as a strategic move. Key figures in this initiative, including Carolina Lassus and Simone Envall, have already engaged in productive discussions with Kattalo following the municipality's evaluation of the platform.
With this new municipal license, both Kattalo and Vörå municipality aim to improve student achievement and foster a love for learning. This collaboration also paves the way for Kattalo's further expansion in the Finnish market.
