When you visit our website https://www.kattalo.com and use our digital services, you trust us with your personal information. We take your privacy very seriously. In this policy, we try to explain as clearly as possible what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it. Please read this policy carefully as it will help you make an informed decision about sharing your personal information with us. What information do we collect?

When registering your user account, we ask for:

  • E-mail

  • First name

  • Surname

  • School name (school users only)

  • The school municipality (school users only)

Each account can in turn post profiles for children/students, which includes the following personal data:

  • First name

  • Date of birth

How do we use the personal data we collect?

Email is used to create a user account so that you can log in and the respective profile's progress is saved. Other information about you is used to be able to get in touch with you and manage your license.

When your account is used, we save the account's and the respective profile's interaction with Kattalo in order to monitor and improve our services. Interaction data is also used to measure progression and continuously give each profile the appropriate level of challenges. Anonymized statistical data can also be used to follow up and improve our services in general.

The profile's date of birth is used to customize the content and for statistics.

We use modern and encrypted information technology, and we have routines to ensure confidentiality. The personal data that is collected is stored and processed in Sweden in accordance with GDPR and Schrems II. Sensitive information such as passwords are stored with modern and secure encryption. We continuously take the measures that may reasonably be required to ensure that your personal data is processed securely and in accordance with this privacy policy and GDPR. However, it is important that you also take responsibility for ensuring that your data is protected. It is your responsibility, for example, to ensure that your login details are kept secret.

How do we store the personal data we collect?

We save your personal data as long as you use Kattalo and two years after the end of the subscription. After that, your personal data is anonymized and all data that identifies you is deleted. In the event that the law requires it, we may have to save certain information for a longer period of time, and we may also save information if it is necessary to fulfill our contract with you.

Transfer of personal data

We will not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties. However, we may transfer personal data to our suppliers and sub-contractors, in their role as personal data processors and sub-processors, according to our instructions, for the provision of services. We may also need to transfer your personal data if required by law by authorities. We only transfer your personal data to third parties that we trust and have personal data processing agreements with.

Aggregated data

We may share aggregate information (non-identifiable personal data) with third parties. Aggregated information does not contain any information that can be traced to a specific individual and thus does not constitute personal data.

As a user of Kattalo, you have the right to request your personal data that is processed by us. You do this by notifying us in writing (see contact details below). You have the right to request a copy of the processed personal data belonging to you free of charge. You also have the right to demand deletion or limitation in the processing of your personal data. You also have the right under certain circumstances to the transfer of your personal data (data portability), which means the right to obtain your personal data and transfer it to another personal data controller. However, this requires that the transfer is possible and can be automated.

This privacy policy may change from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page. In the event that you are asked to accept material changes to this Policy and decline to do so, you may not be able to continue using our Services with all functionality preserved.
